Albert H. Jones, Jr. Elementary School
Following the school reforms of the 1920's, funds were provided for a consolidation and construction of a new school for the students of Christiana and the surround areas.  Construction began in 1934, and classes started in the fall of 1935.  The original building was small, but had a small auditorium, teacher's room and a small kitchenette. It was named the Christiana-Salem Elementary School.
The building was expanded in 1967, when a two-story eight-room addition was added to the north side, and a two-room kindergarten added to the rear.  On September 8, 1996, it was renamed the Albert H. Jones Elementary School, in honor of a long-time Christina School District board member and member of the community.
